SCHOOL PRINCIPAL LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE

The School Principal Leadership Institute is dedicated to cultivating the growth and development of K-8 principals, empowering them to reignite a passion for education within their schools. Its goal is to equip principals with the essential skills, knowledge, and mindset needed to drive meaningful school transformation. The program is fully aligned with the National Leadership Standards.

The Disruptive School Leadership Program

This 5-Day Workshop series is a research-based professional development program designed to help school leaders create thriving school environments where teachers feel valued and want to stay. In these workshops leadership styles will be thoroughly examined including: Disruptive School Leadership, Instructional Leadership, Cultural Leadership, Equity Leadership, and Transformative Leadership. School leaders will understand the impact of these leadership styles in education and receive strategies on how to implement these styles in the their schools. 


Throughout the series, Principals will engage in hands-on activities such as case studies, leadership simulations, and action-planning sessions. These workshops are highly engaging, collaborative and reflective for school leaders. They will leave with a ready-to-implement plan that includes bold, instructional, cultural, equity-driven, and transformative leadership strategies. By the end of the workshop, participants will have concrete tools to improve teacher retention, strengthen school culture, and drive student success!


NEW TEACHER INSTITUTE

This institute is designed for teachers who are fresh out of college or  teachers who are transitioning to a new career path.  Teachers will learn actionable strategies for classroom management and differentiating  instruction.  They will learn how to meet all their students' needs  without feeling overwhelmed.  They will learn techniques to teach their students to be independent thinkers and problem solvers.  They will  learn multiple strategies to be successful in their roles and leave  feeling empowered!


After participating in this New Teacher Institute, teachers will have the  tools necessary for a long and successful career in teaching.  They will  feel like heroes, change agents, and the glue that holds the  educational system together.

I AM SOMEBODY! | A Positive Affirmation Program

The  I Am Somebody! program is a positive affirmation program that builds  students' self-esteem and creates a culture of respect.  The program  helps to create a climate where students feel they can conquer the  world.  School wide participation in this program creates a positive  learning environment that fosters academic achievement in students and  social-emotional well-being for teachers.


The  program includes weekly affirmations and lessons for grades K-12.  It  also includes individual, partner, and small group interactive lessons.   Implementation guides and resources are available for educators and  school leaders. Participating in this program teaches students to take  ownership and pride in their behavior.

POWER | TEACHER SUSTAINABILITY & RETENTION PLAN

The POWER plan has SIX solutions that will improve student achievement and help teachers to stay in the field of education.


The solutions are outlined are below:


I. Solution I – School Environment (Three Programs)


Program #1 – I Am Somebody! Program

Program #2 – Principles of Morality Program (POM)

Program #3 – Culture Leaders Program “Let’s Work It Out.”

The Environment solution focuses on the climate and culture of the school building.


II. Solution II – Restore Teacher Autonomy (One Program)


Program – Your Voice Matters Program

Tip #1 – Curriculum Decisions

Tip #2 – Instruction Methods

Tip #3 – Resource Decisions

Tip #4 – Respecting Teachers’ Time

The Restore Teacher Autonomy solution focuses on returning the role of expert to teachers.


III. Solution III – Revisit Student Assessments (Two Programs)


Program #1 – Show What You Know

Program #2 – You Are the Expert

The  Revisit Student Assessments solution focuses on reducing the number of  standardized assessments given yearly and replacing them with other  assessment measures.


IV. Solution IV – Revisit Teacher Evaluations (Three Programs)


Program #1 – Teacher Evaluation Systems

Program # 2 – Peer to Peer Observations

Program # 3 – Maximize Staff Meetings

The  Revisit Teacher Evaluation Systems solution focuses on reducing the  number of formal and informal evaluations a teacher receives per year  and replacing those with

other measures of teacher effectiveness.


V. Solution V – Building Relationships with Teachers (One Program)

Tip # 2 – Empower Teachers by Encouraging Leadership Roles (You See Them).

Tip # 4 – School Leaders Should Do Social Outings With Teachers (You See Them).

The  Building Relationships with Teachers solution focuses on providing  school leaders with strategies to build positive relationships with  their teachers.


VI. Solution VI – Social Emotional Wrap Around Support (One Program)


Program – Teacher Wellness

Component #1 - Norms of Social Emotional Well Being

Component # 2 – Leadership Cares

Component # 3 – Self-Care

Component # 4 – SEL Partner and Team Check-In

The Social-Emotional Wraparound Support for Teachers Solution focuses on the social-emotional well-being of teachers.
